Silver Stirrup Equestrian began with one horse.

My mare, Ellie, is my heart horse. Before she came into my life, she experienced severe trauma—her jaw was broken multiple times by her previous owners. Veterinarians did everything they could to repair the damage, even re-breaking and realigning her jaw so she could heal.

Because of that history, Ellie still lives with sensitivity and pain when pressure is applied inside her mouth.

Like many riders, I grew up riding with traditional bits. But with Ellie, I had to find another way.

I began exploring bitless options so she could work comfortably, communicate clearly, and enjoy her job without pain. What started as a search for something better for one horse became a much bigger idea.

Silver Stirrup Equestrian is built on the belief that horses deserve thoughtful equipment that prioritizes comfort, communication, and trust. Our focus is creating modern bitless solutions that allow riders and horses to work together without unnecessary pressure.
